PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Physical Education is an integral part of our school curriculum, providing students with opportunities to be active and to learn about the importance of physical activity and living a healthy lifestyle. This program aims to increase student confidence, teach new skills, practice team work and, most importantly, have fun!

Physical Education lessons focus on the development of fundamental movement skills, game play, team work and confidence in participation through activities and sports. Here at Whitford Catholic Primary School, our students have the opportunity to participate in a range of different sporting activities including;

Whitford Catholic Primary School has a proud history of success in Interschool Carnivals. As a part of the NIPSSA (Northern Independent Primary Schools Sports Association) group which consists of a number of local schools in the Northern corridor area, we compete in a range of events including Swimming, Cross Country, Basketball, Soccer, Boys AFL, Girls’ AFL, Hockey, Netball, Touch Rugby, Athletics and Cricket.
