What a way to bring the fun and make a difference. Our Year 6 students turned O`Connor Oval into a hub of excitement, laughter and community spirit for their Mini Fete!๐ช
But the best part? Together, they raised just over $5,300 for St Vincent de Paul and Wheelchairs for Kids โจ
A huge thank you to our wonderful parents and families for their support, and to our students across the school for getting involved and raising money for these worthy causes. Your generosity and community spirit have made a real difference!
Congratulations Year 6!๐๐

Our Tournament of Minds STEM and Arts teams proudly represented #WCPS at the State Finals at ECU. After a challenging three-hour lockdown, both teams presented their creative solutions to a panel of judges. Our STEM team took on an exciting bridge-building challenge, while our Arts team brought The Gallery of Accidental Art to life. Both teams showcased incredible creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skillsโจ
A huge congratulations go to our Arts team, who will now travel to Darwin on 28th October, representing Western Australia at the International Finals ๐๐
What an incredible achievement to start the term. We are so proud of both teams and wish our Arts team the very best of luck as they take on the next challenge!! ๐

Today, Year 1-6 students explored this question during an inspiring incursion with @wheelchairsforkids_au, learning about the difference a wheelchair can make to a child`s life.
This year, Wheelchairs for Kids celebrated an incredible milestone - ๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐,๐๐๐๐ญ๐ก ๐ฐ๐ก๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ก๐๐ข๐ซ!! ๐๐ What an amazing achievement and beautiful impact to gift mobility and independence to children in over 80 countries!
We are delighted that our school community can play a part in this wonderful work, with our families donating soft toys to accompany the wheelchairs on their journey to children in need.
Thank you to Wheelchairs for Kids for sharing your work with our students and helping them see how kindness, compassion and a simple act of giving can make a world of difference!๐
